Mister Rogers' Sector

From the Line it is Drawn #194: "Come up with a dramatic reveal involving a comic character and our artists will depict it! Some examples from last time were “Donald Duck is Howard the Duck’s father!” “Mystique is a Smurf!” Stuff like that." therealAstrozac suggested: "Mister Rogers was really A Green Lantern".

GLPT

So, on the latest episode of the Line it is Drawn, people were asked what romantic pairings of comic book characters they'd like to see. Someone suggested Green Lantern and Photon. Problem: there are 3 or 4 Photons and a grip of GLs (say, 4 main ones?).

Now, I sort of thought the reader was referring to Monica Rambeau and John Stewart, but I kind of felt uncomfortable just naturally assuming it's the 2 African-American characters that should be together. However, I didn't want to short change therealAstrozac, who made the suggestion (although I began to suspect the vagueness of the suggestion was designed to mess with the artist).

At any rate, here are Hal Jordan and Monica Rambeau, followed by the John Stewart variant, and at bottom Hal and the Photon from Youngblood, in honor of the Sochi Olympics.

If you're wondering what's up with the costume in the top images, it's from a redesign I did a while ago: here.
